CLUB RULES.
2. The acceptance of these rules and the main Club Rules of the F.F.A. are a condition of membership.Where membership of any Section shall be at the absolute discretion of the Section Committee and may be refused at any time.
3. The objectives of the Association are to promote and protect fishing and angling in all its legal forms.
4. Members should produce their permits on request.
5. Any member fishing the Association's waters must comply with the Environmental Agency licence rules & members must carry their current membership cards to be produced on demand by any authorised person, WITH CALENDAR MARKED PRIOR TO FISHING.
6. No dogs, litter, and leaving of fish or fish remains, fires, camping, wilful damage or radios. No trespassing, leaving gates open, or doing anything detrimental to farmers, landowners or the Association.
7. Subscriptions to the Section shall be fixed at the Annual Meeting.
8. One rod per person on Association Game Waters.
9. No coarse fish shall be removed from Game Waters except for pike below 5 lbs weight which can be taken and removed from the water.
10. It shall be understood that all Section activities are voluntary and that the Association shall not be held responsible for any damage or injuries sustained.
11. Any proposed alteration of these Section Rules must be forwarded to the Secretary in writing not less than 14 days prior to the General Meeting at which such proposed alterations are to be considered, and no alteration shall be made except at the Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting called for the purpose. All motions for the alteration or rescinding of existing Rules,or adopting of new rules, must be carried by a majority of the members present and voting.
12. The Committee shall have the power to deal with any question not covered by these Rules but any any member wishing to protest against the ruling of the Committee shall forward his protest in writing accompanied by the signatures of not less than 25 members to the Secretary who shall then call a Special General Meeting of members.
13. All complaints to be made to the Secretary in writing.
14. No guns, wading or boating allowed on Association waters without the sanction of the Committee.
15. No keepnets shall be used in Game Waters without the sanction of the Committee.
16. Game fishing members are restricted to FOUR days fishing per week. A days fishing will consist of only one visit to any one stoked water on any one day. Sunday starts the week. SPINNING and BAIT FISHING all legal size fish landed must be killed and taken. Fly Fishing all methods barbless or crimped barb hooks only, fish may be returned. Fishing to cease when three legal size fish have been killed.
17. The club season to start on 1st April and close on 31st March the following year on all waters.
18. Size limit for Trout and Char 10 inches. Every member to carry a measure when fishing.
19. The use of live fish baits, maggots, grubs and ground baiting is prohibited in Game Waters.
20. Juniors to be 7 years of age if Parent/Grandparent is a member, if not, then 10 years of age.
21. Applications for game fishing shall be considered at successive Committee Meetings until the limit is reached.
22. That anyone who wishes to serve on the Committee of the Game Section should apply by letter to the Section Secretary unless voted on at the A.G.M.
23. That fishing is not allowed for 24 hours after stocking on Nigel between the flags and the car park. On Burlington railway bank and Middle North. Notices will be displayed.
24. No junior member to be allowed to fish Game Waters unaccompanied by an adult.
25. It is required that all Junior members state their date of birth when applying for membership.
26. That any section member who is found to have left litter at the swim they have been fishing, it will be deemed as their litter and the member will be dealt with by the Committee.
27. Any Member doing anything detrimental to Association or Section interest shall be disciplined by the Section Committee but has the right to appeal to the Executive Committee members, for the avoidance of doubt discipline may mean expulsion.
28. The Committee to be 12 elected Members excluding elected officers, i.e. Secretary and Treasurer. The Committee to co-opt extra members if required.
29. All Brown Trout caught MUST be returned where possible.
